Charles Leroy Long IV

Charles LeRoy Long, IV (Chuck) passed peacefully in his sleep on March 20, 2023 with his devoted wife Linda (Linzie) Long by his side. A Vietnam era veteran Chuck loved riding motorcycles, sailing, going on long drives with Linzie to explore different places and loved his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Linzie) Long, son Charles L. Long, V, daughters Natalie Kopitzke, Michelle Ichiho, Dara Haenel and his grandchildren Charles L. Long VI (Charlie), Erica J. Long, Jane A. Long, Skylar A. Ichiho, Jackson A. Ichiho, Alexandra Krauss, Layle Rose Leahey and Zachary Krauss. In Lieu of flowers a donation in his memory can be made to Prompting Animal Welfare in North Carolina, (PAWNC), 2455 Hurt Dr., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
