Born in Syracuse, New York, Barbara lived a life marked by quiet dedication, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the arts.
She worked for many years as secretary to the plant manager of Fisher-Price in Medina, New York, before becoming the owner and editor of Natural Awakenings of Richmond, where she shared her passion for wellness and the natural world with her community.
Barbara's greatest joys included travel-exploring many places across Europe and the United States -and her lifelong love of botanical gardens and flowers. She found peace and inspiration among blooming gardens wherever she went.She will be remembered for her kind and gentle soul, a warmth that touched everyone who knew her.
There will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in her memory.
