William H. “Bill” Seiler 79 of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Columbia, MD passed away on August 9, 2022 at PAM Specialty Hospital in Sarasota. He was born in Cumberland, MD and graduated from Fort Hill high school. He graduated from Frostburg State University with a B.S. degree and Loyola (Baltimore), with an M.Ed. degree. He taught middle school in Howard County, MD for 32 years and retired to Port Charlotte in 1998. He was the son of William H. Seiler, Sr. and Freeda Mallow. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, his sister, Sally Feeley of Melbourne, FL, his son Karl Seiler of Columbia, MD and daughter Gwynn Rackers of Catonsburg, MD and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Curt, in 1996. Bill was a member of the South Gulf Cove Homeowners’ Association and Yacht Club. Bill’s interests were reading, traveling, boating, and sports. One of his favorite charities was Tidewell Hospice. Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
