Tom Gray II, beloved husband, father, Papa, adventurer, and friend passed away unexpectedly on September 11 at the age of 56 (10/16/1967-09/11/2024).
Tom’s life was defined by his boundless love for the world and the people in it. Whether kayaking pictured rocks, exploring Europe, zip lining in the mountains, hunting, racing cars, camping, or simply lending a helping hand, Tom gave himself fully to every moment and everyone he met. He lived his life to the fullest with his best friend and wife Missy by his side. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his generosity, always putting others before himself.
Tom is survived by the love of his life, Missy: sons Thomas (Sam) Gray III and Zachary Gray; Stepchildren: Courtney Prins, Brianne (Jeff & Grandson Jack) Brady, and Jacob Prins.
He also leaves behind his parents, Thomas Gray and Cynthia (Snell) Gray; siblings Robert (Kristen) Gray and Nicole Gray and his Uncle Chad (Wendi) Snell. Tom was also cherished by many Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom held him dear.
He was proceeded in death by his Grandparents, Wendel and Imogene (Nugent) Gray and Bob and Vivian (Launter) Snell, Linda Snell and his Uncles, Jack Gray and Chuck Mlcek.
We are truly shown that his generosity knew no limits. Tom not only gave all he has to those around him, his love, his time, and his kindness, he gave the gift of life through the donation of his organs. This final act embodies the selflessness he lived by. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the lives he’s touched and the ones he’s saving. Thank you, Tom, for giving everything, even now. You will never be forgotten.
The family encourages all who knew Tom to consider registering as an organ donor in your state. https://www.organdonor.gov/
