Katherine T Peterson

Katherine Tallyn Peterson 85, of Port Charlotte passed away 2:44 pm on 22 November 2022 at ShorePoint Health Hospital. Born in Dover NJ, on 27 November 1936 to Clement and Miriam Koeferl, Kathe had five siblings, surviving brothers John Koeferl of Louisiana, Michael Koeferl of Pennsylvania, and sister, Margaret Crandall of Utah, not surviving sister Constance Thompson and brother Charles Koeferl. At 18, Kathe traveled to New York and became a stewardess. She made her way to California. While traveling the world, she met a dashing flight engineer, fell in love, got married and raised a family. Kathe at times was a receptionist, cook, restaurant owner, volunteer, and an artist, she loved collecting unique pieces of art in all forms. Kathe adored the people, art, and cultures of the orient. Survived are loving husband (62 years), Robert L. Peterson, sons Robert Peterson (twin), Ronald Peterson (Twin), and Phillip Peterson, as well as husbands’ sons Allyn Peterson, and Douglas Carpenter. An adored wife, a selfless - loving Mother, Aunt, and Grandmother, Kathe will be forever remembered, loved, and missed.
