So sorry to hear of Eric's passing.  We were classmates at the US Coast Guard Academy, Class of 1969.  I have many fond memories of Eric on our cadet cruises.  His sense of humor was magnificent.  I didn't realize he lived so close as I currently reside just north of Tampa.  I am editor of our Class Notes and have notified our classmates of Eric's passing. Sending love to Joan and their family.  Eric was a man of many interests and talents. I was blessed to interact with him in many ways over the last 20 years. His dry sense of humor always made me laugh. I especially loved being with him and Joan at church in the past few years.
