William T. Cunningham

Born on March 23, 1938 in Hollis, Oklahoma to JT and Lucy Cunningham. He had two older sisters Margaret Williamson and Mary Lois Gasser. He graduated HS from Hollis in 1956 and had a Bachelors degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State (1961) and a Masters degree from University of Oklahoma (1965).

After a few years teaching math, he went on to a fulfilling career as a computer analyst at IBM, where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 1991. Beyond his work, he took pride in his family, his church community, and he enjoyed being with and travelling with his wife.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Meredith; his children and their partners, Bill Cunningham and Abigail Plumley, Marcia and Gary Oda, Cami and Greg Sawyer; and his grandchildren, Thomas Cunningham, Bailey and Jesse Oda, Matthew and Addi Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his sisters.

Bill lived many places around Oklahoma: Hollis (1938-1956 + summers), Norman (1956-1958 + summers), Weatherford (1958-1961), Altus (1961-1964), and Oklahoma City (1981-1993, 2006-2022). He also lived in Albuquerque NM, (1964-1969, 1974-1978, 1993-2006), Santa Fe NM, (1969-1974), Atlanta, GA (1978-1981), and Glendale, AZ (2022-2026).
