My husband, Steve, passed away suddenly and quite unexpectedly at Abrazo Central Campus on December 26, 2021. Steve was born May 15, 1950, to Harold ad Elinor Baldwin in Wickenburg, AZ. He was raised with his two brothers, in Phoenix and graduated from West High School in 1968. Steve worked as a civil design draftsman his entire career.
Steve and I met through mutual friends at ASU in May, 1970, and were married on December 30, 1972. We have lived in downtown Phoenix since 1974. Steve was very proud of his home and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. Our son, Courtney, and daughter, Katrice, grew up with a father who loved them deeply. Steve loved and valued his three grandchildren and his in-law kids as well. He never missed church and is now watching over his breakfast buddies. Steve and I traveled fairly extensively. His favorite trip was to Kenya and Tanzania in 2014.
Steve is survived by his wife, Noreen, his daughter, Katrice, son-in-law Jeremy, and granddaughters Kennedy (16) and Aubrey (12). He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Amaris, and grandson Henry (8). Steve's brothers Alan (Joyce) and Philip (Gloria) and many nieces and nephews will miss his presence.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, nephew Derek, and our son, Courtney. Steve is now undoubtedly rejoicing in heaven with Courtney by his side.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 9424 N.7th Ave. Phoenix, AZ, 85021.Memorials in Steve's name may be directed to the church, which he loved.
