Born in Whittier, California, Robert was the son of Robert and Nicolasa Felix. He married his beloved spouse, Roberta Anne, on June 18, 1970, beginning a journey that spanned over five decades.
Robert is survived by his wife, Roberta Anne; his son, Robert Henry and his wife, Rena Marie; his daughter, Regina Marie; his brother, Henry; and his sisters, Lucy and Sally. He was a proud grandfather to his three grandsons, Robert Jacob, Raymond Henry, and Cruz Robert.
A dedicated professional, Robert worked in construction for 25 years, primarily as a roofer. Known for his craftsman knowledge, he built many cherished patios and decks for family and friends. Beyond his trade, he was admired for his ingenuity, constantly creating makeshift inventions and "creature comforts" that brought amusement and appreciation to all who knew him.
Robert was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966 and served his tour from Oct, 1966 to Aug, 1968, before being honorably discharged in 1968. Following his service, he dedicated time to helping his fellow veterans obtain the benefits owed to them.
Bob loved the outdoors. Camping, fishing, and exploring nature were his passions. He would lead many adventures in finding new places to explore, often creating a "wild goose chase" atmosphere that humored his company and made their experience memorable. Many of his friends and family carry on this adventurous spirit today.
Robert was considered "the life of the party" by his loved ones and was known for his quick wit and humor—if you were with Bob, you were going to have a good time. He proudly shared his skills and joy with his three grandsons, a legacy that they will carry forward.
