Robert John Esch

Robert John Esch passed away on Monday, November 14th, 2022. He was born in Stockbridge Michigan and graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He served in the Army in Okinawa Japan in the Intelligence division, and then returned to the states and met and married Carol Aldrich in 1968. A few years later, they welcomed a son, Stephen. Bob enjoyed being involved in Stephen’s Boy Scout and Eagle Troops and was also a member of the West Milton Rotary Club for many years. Robert and Carol lived in Troy Ohio for 44 years, before retiring in Sun City Grand Arizona in 2005. Robert and Carol made many friends and enjoyed their time in retirement travelling and participating in many neighborhood groups and activities. They were longtime members of the Prince of Peace Church in Sun City. Carol, Robert’s wife passed away in 2016. Robert leaves behind his son Stephen, daughter-in-law April, and granddaughter Lauren and her husband Garrett, along with 2 great granddaughters, Murphy and Reagan. He also has a sister Linda in North Carolina. His family and friends will miss him greatly. He had a wonderful spirit and enjoyed life to the fullest. Robert will be laid to rest, together again with wife Carol at the National Cemetery in Phoenix Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or Ronald McDonald House in Robert’s name would be most appreciated.
