John Broccoli, age 88, of Bordentown, NJ passed peacefully in the hands of his family in Arizona.
It’s no wonder that John passed shortly after his beloved “Mare.” His devotion to her was clear in every part of his life, and it brings comfort to know they are now reunited—together again, surrounded by their cherished dogs in heaven.
John was often a quiet man, but even in few words, his love for Mike & Gucci always shone through. Nothing made him happier than the unconditional love of his dogs, the warmth of homemade Italian meals lovingly prepared by his wife, Sunday dinners at his mom’s house in Brooklyn where he grew up and the joy of his daughters Jorene, Dana and his grandchildren TJ, Stefan, Nico & Mariella.
He was a man of simple pleasures and could never resist fresh pastries and bread from the Brooklyn bakeries.. He loved playing poker & bocci with his friends. Though he never had the chance to visit Italy, he carried the spirit of the old world within him: proud, kind, and full of quiet humor. We will miss his contagious laugh, sarcasm and quick wit that could catch you off guard. John and his beloved wife, Marie, are now together forever in heaven—side by side, just as they were in life for over 64 years.
