1 year Brian, I cannot believe it. I miss my friend💔.  Since 2002 you’ve always been a phone call and text away. Often when I’m working i’ll turn on your favorite band the Samples, everything about them reminds me of you. You were the one that got me into the Counting Crows! You bought me their first physical CD album. I’ll never forget when we saw them together with LA Philharmonic orchestra. INSANE. I love you brother and I miss you.  I’m looking forward to seeing you again as I enter the gates of Heaven and you are there to greet me.

I’m so Sorry to hear this news just today! I met Brian on Instagram because I loved all of his videos & photo & Real estate of the North Scottsdale desert. I hoped to get back to living in one day.. His photography & videos were very amazing & captured the desert in its beauty entirely! Brian will be really missed &

I met Brian several years ago on Instagram as I am a house remodeler and flipper. We quickly became very good friends and I could talk to Brian about everything from real estate to house flipping, live music and coffee.  He talked to me about his life growing up in Parker and that his sister loves college football like I do. 

My sincere, deep condolences to his family.

Damn Brian, I was wondering why you didn’t text me back. I had a feeling. We worked together from 2002-2017. 15 years together talking weekly and so many traveling events over the years for work. Since we stopped working together you were always a constant text message at least every other month.

I’ll miss you Brian. I’ll miss your infectious smile, laugh, early morning text messages on some hike with amazing photos. I was so proud of you getting clean and staying clean these last 6 or so years. I love you brother and I know I’ll see you again at the gates in Heaven, you’ll be waiting for me with a guitar in hand probably one of the musicians up there for worship. I will miss you. Rest easy brother.

Brian you have touched so many lives.  You were so kind and sweet to me during and after high school and wish we could have spent more time during our adult years!  You had such a fantastic and infectious spirit that so many loved being around you!  I loved your energy, your goofy ways, your love for the guitar and all your love notes always with your signature duck dude! You will be greatly missed!

Having known Brian most of his life, I’m honored that he came, enjoyed, and created a lot of laughs with his funny antics on houseboat trips to Lake Powell with us! To see him grow into a professional was even more exciting. We enjoy seeing and discussing issues with him on his trips to Coronado and our many trips to Phoenix. Brian was one of my best friends. After daying years ago, we found that we were best suited for a close friendship.

Each of us have friends and acquaintances that only see the curated versions of ourselves. Apart from that, we have (if we're truly blessed) a handful of friends who know every little detail of our lives-- the messiest bits, the vulnerable bits, and the highlights. Brian and I shared our fears, our faith, our hopes, our worries, our insecurities, and our successes. 

He was extremely proud of his hard earned sobriety. He loved Chipotle naked bowls. He spoke with everyone who has a service job, made them feel seen. That's a kindness extended by a select few people these days. 

He called me "Shunny" with a little whistle in between the front teeth, and I called him the same thing. When the phone would ring, I'd answer, and he'd hold it (that whistling "s" sound for a lot longer than I ever could). He'd chat about his day, play me a song on one of his guitars, and joke about something -- or ask a serious question. Sometimes we spoke for 5 minutes. Sometimes an hour. He was the easiest guy to have a relationship with, because he listened,  he cared, and he told the truth about where he was at in his head-- so there was this harmonious equilibrium of transparency that was a constant. 

I'll miss his beautiful photos. I'll miss his Spotify playlists he'd text me. I'll miss his letters and postcards. I'll miss his surprise visits. I'll miss the way he took the time to talk to my kids, and ask about my Dad every week. I'll miss talking to him while I walked the dogs or drove to an appointment somewhere. I'll miss his YouTube videos. I'll miss his 'back in the day' stories about growing up in Parker (we saw each other around as kids, but never got to know each other well until 8 years ago). I'll miss listening to stories about his mom and dad. I'll miss his beautiful laugh. The expressive, booming "HA..." that it began with.

There will never be a sunset that won’t remind me of Brian. I shall smile and say thank you God for sharing this man with us. How blessed to have known a man so kind, funny, smart and caring 🍇🦍

Dude, I am blessed to call you my brother from another mother these past 42 years and so proud of us both for fighting and winning our individual battles with the bottle. You inspired me and kicked my butt when I needed, and I gave right back when you needed it. I find comfort that you had these past 8+ years with clarity. I know I'll think of you with each beautiful sunrise/sunset, orange tic-tac before a Bronco game, and every Aug. 5th. I don't do goodbyes, so how about you save me a seat and I'll see you on the other side. L8rs, Dude

My heartfelt condolences to Ann and family. Brian will be sorely missed. I have so many fond memories of Brian going back to 1988 when we first met.
