William Patrick Rivera

William Patrick Rivera, age 82, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024. He was born on July 4, 1942 in The Bronx, New York where he grew up.

He attended Columbus High School in The Bronx, and later graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice of New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree. William then worked as an NYPD officer, earning the rank of Detective. He retired from US Customs and Border Protection with the US Department of Homeland Security, as an Inspector.

He was preceded in death by his father Mario Rivera Sr; his mother Otilia Acosta; Gloria Santana Spinelli; Robert Santana (Bobby); Mario F. Rivera Jr; Richard J. Rivera (Dicky); Joseph Rivera; Ramona Rivera Thigpen; Marion River Fritzius; John Rivera.

He is survived by his children William P. Rivera Jr; Marlo Rivera Alago; Monique Rivera Misrahi; his seven grandchildren Gabriella Grassi, Reanna Grassi, Ryan Rivera, Ella Rivera, Xander Misrahi, Isabella Misrahi, Mason Rivera; and great grandson Steven Clough; other family members Frances Rivera (mother of Billy, Marlo, and Monique); Yolanda's son Charlie Rosa, and daughter Jessica Rosa Fernandez; and grandchildren Rebekah, Jonathan, Joshua, Rachel, Jacob, Julie, and Joanna.

A gathering of family and friends for William will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at National Cremation and Burial Society, 7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, Florida 32765. A Prayer Service will begin at 2pm followed by his Funeral Service and memory sharing at 3pm.
