Sonia Correa de Grajales

**April 21, 1940 – June 13, 2026**

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of **Sonia Correa de Grajales**, who peacefully entered eternal rest on June 13, 2026, at the age of 86.

Sonia was born on April 21, 1940, in Medellín, Colombia, where she spent her childhood and early years surrounded by family, friends, and the vibrant culture of her beloved hometown. In the early 1980s, she immigrated to the United States, making her home first in Paterson, New Jersey, and later in Clifton, New Jersey, where she built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to her family.

Sonia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, **Alonso Grajales**, and her cherished daughter, **Adriana Grajales**.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her children, **Sonia Grajales, Mary Tobon, Sol Vargas, Giovanni Grajales, and Paula Muñoz**; her **nine grandchildren**; and her **nine great-grandchildren**, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Sonia's greatest gift was her love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, **beloved mother-in-law**, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness, strength, warmth, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comfort of knowing that family came first.

She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
