
It is with a heavy heart, yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Sharon Marie Bond, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sharon departed this world peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Born on September 23, 1950, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Sharon was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Tahaney. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her dear brothers Patrick Tahaney, Jr. and Daniel F. Tahaney. Her upbringing in a loving family nurtured her innate kindness and compassion, qualities that would define her life and career.
After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, Pennsylvania, Sharon pursued her passion for caring for others by obtaining her nursing degree from Bucks County Technical School. This was the beginning of a long and impactful career as a licensed practical nurse at Lutheran Haven Nursing Home in Oviedo, Florida where she devoted over 35 years of her life to the service of others. Her dedication and excellence did not go unnoticed, and she later assumed the role of Assisted Living Facility administrator, ensuring that countless residents received the highest standard of care.
On July 1, 1969, Sharon married the love of her life Milton Bond, embarking on a journey of love and partnership that spanned 56 years. Together, they journeyed through countless years of unwavering companionship building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their union was a testament to enduring love and together they raised three wonderful children.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband Milton, and her cherished children Peggy Downing (Michael), Amy Tressler (Stephen), and Richard Bond (Jennifer). Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will forever carry forward her spirit of generosity and warmth.
Sharon is also survived by her siblings Catherine Foster (Michael), Michael Tahaney (Dee), and Pamela Tahaney Adkins (Bruce). Also, her sister-in-laws Marion Tahaney and Judy Luiz, and brother-in-law Jack Luiz.
Sharon's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family; she had a unique gift for making everyone feel like they were part of her own family. Her selflessness was legendary...she was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She put others before herself in every aspect of life. Her kind and compassionate heart touched all who were fortunate enough to know her leaving a legacy of love that will endure for generations.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that Sharon's soul has found peace, and they find solace in the countless memories of her gentle smile and caring nature. Sharon Bond's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of others.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday June 25, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at National Cremation Society (7565 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo, FL 32765).
