Rosemary Ellen O'Toole

in Ormond Beach, FL at the age of 92 from complications of dementia. Rosie was

surrounded by family members at the time of her passing.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, she graduated from St. Ambrose High School and

then worked for the Prudential Insurance Company for a number of years. On October

7, 1950 she was married to Gerald (Red) O’Toole; a marriage that lasted 56 years. Rosie

and Red moved to Marco Island upon Red’s retirement where they resided for 19 years.

In 2011, Rosie moved to Ormond Beach to be closer to family. Rosie taught oil painting

and calligraphy for years, enjoyed travel and was known to visit casinos from time-totime.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband in 2007. She is survived by her five

children Mike (Pauline), Ormond Beach, FL; Pat (Sharon), Apple Valley, MN; Peggy,

Fenton, MI; Rosie (Frank) Grzebyk, Lawton, MI; Jerry (Judy), Naperville, IL; as well as

seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A celebration of Rosie’s life will be held at a time to be determined. Donations in
