Ronald Earl Carroll, known to family and friends as “Ronnie” passed away peacefully in his Winter Springs, Florida home, surrounded by loved ones, on June 11, 2025 at the age of 79. He was born March 14, 1946 in Jackson, Tennessee to Mary Nell Fly and Everett Alva Carroll.
A proud graduate of Jackson High School in 1964, Ronnie pursued higher education at Georgia Tech where he earned his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in 1969. He was a member of the ATO Fraternity at Georgia Tech. He continued his studies in Biology at Georgia State University in 1970, and from there he attended Memphis State University deepening his interests in Biology and Chemistry between 1970 and 1973.
Throughout his life Ronnie was deeply passionate about spending weekends and summers on The Tennessee River boating, water skiing, and fishing with friends and family. An avid lover of sports, he played basketball and football in high school and later enjoyed playing tennis, golf, snow skiing and sailing. He also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to be able to travel all over the world to places such as Tahiti. As a husband and father there was no better man. Ronnie loved to bring his family along for adventures all over from skiing in the Rocky Mountains to exploring volcanoes in Hawaii where there were always laughs and good times to be had. As his son grew older and developed a passion for fishing, Ronnie and Austin could be found up at dawn on the water seeing who could catch the biggest fish.
Ronnie built a long and distinguished career in the structured settlement industry where he was a founding member and business owner of Structured Financial Associates, Inc. that served clients with professionalism and integrity for over 45 years. He also participated in local communities such as Rotary Club of Sanford and was a member of the Seminole Power Squadron. He held many certifications and memberships in Industrial Hygiene.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline “Jackie”; who was the love of his life. For 40 years their marriage was defined by deep love, respect and friendship - they were life partners, best friends and business partners whose shared work, laughter, and unwavering support enriched every part of their lives; his son Austin K.E. Carroll of Altamonte Springs whom he was completely amazed by and so very proud of; a sister, Nancy K Darwin (Kent) of Coppell, Texas, a niece Susana Darwin of Chicago, Illinois; a cousin Janet Carroll Davis (Ed) of Louisiana; a second cousin Joseph Palermo of Louisiana; a cousin Steven Dwight Carroll of Winter Springs, Florida.
