

Roland Saint-Pierre, born on August 29, 1937, in Gonaïves, Haiti, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Oviedo, Florida. He overcame profound loss early in life, losing his sister, Francine and later his mother at just 10 years old. Despite these hardships, Roland grew into a devoted caregiver for his younger siblings, a trait that defined his role as a loving father and grandfather. He valued his friendship and was always present to help his friends.
He married Josette Saint-Pierre in 1967, and together they raised their children, instilling in them the same resilience and compassion he embodied. Roland's curiosity and work ethic led him to a career as a teacher in Africa and later as a professional engineer in the United States where he contributed to his community through his unwavering faith as a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Roland will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and quiet strength. He is survived by his spouse, Josette, his children: Diogene, Roland the II (Rudy), Nancy, Daniel and grandchildren, including, Roland III (Etienne), Arnaud, Victoria, Winner, Francesca and Julian. He is also survived by his brother, Emmanuel and his sisters, Rose-Marie and Suze and several nephews and nieces.
A memorial mass will be held at the Church where his family will gather to honor his legacy per his request. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to St. Jude in his memory. Roland's life is a testament to perseverance and love, and he will forever inspire those who knew him.
