Robert Anthony Nicoletti Sr.

Robert Anthony Nicoletti, otherwise known as "Dr. Bob", was a graduate of Seton Hall University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Science. He then pursued a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Newark State College and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Sarasota.

Dr. Bob was an educator for thirty-five years. He began teaching in New Jersey at Budd Lake School and then continued teaching at Montville High School and was also an adjunct professor at Centenary College where he taught Science and advanced placement Psychology. After relocating to Florida he was an educator at North Fort Myers High School. He was a finalist for the Golden Apple Award in Lee County, Florida, an honor that he was very proud of.

Throughout his life he was very active in a variety of community activities. He worked as a police officer in Mine Hill, New Jersey as well as a special police officer in Hanover Township, New Jersey. He was also a member of the Morris Minute Men First Aid Squad. In Florida, he was an active member of the Lee County Republican Club where he was involved in the George W. Bush campaign and an advisor to the young republican club. He was an active member of the Lee County Teachers Association and was president of the Home Owners Association in Lakeland, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Marcia Alford Nicoletti, his two sons, Robert Anthony Jr. and Richard, along with their spouses, Michael Hodges and Debra Nicoletti. Along with his three grandchildren, Isabella, Olivia and Richard “Frankie.”

Dr. Bob was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. He taught Sunday School and participated in the services at church by reading passages from the Bible. Dr. Bob could be found in the back pew every Sunday enjoying the Minister's messages.

Dr. Bob donated regularly to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. He was known for his sense of humor (which was relieving to most) and his ability and willingness to help his friends and family through stressful times. He will be sorely missed.
