Richard Harry Over

On June 19, 1954, Dick married Margaret Lucille Smith Over. They had four children, Douglas, Bradley, Janice, and Valerie. Douglas died just short of his 60th birthday. Dick also had seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Margaret Over passed away on her 52nd birthday, February 20, 1984.

On December 26, 1987, Dick married Cynthia "Cindy" Childs Over. When they married, Cindy had three children from a previous marriage (Sean Murphy, Tara Murphy, and Keri Walsh). Dick had two wives who loved him very much.

Dick went to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. About a year later, Dick put his academics and athletics on hold to voluntarily serve in the Navy. After serving, he finished his degree at Kent State on the GI Bill.

Dick's first job was with US Steel in Boardman, Ohio. Then he worked for Link Corporation in Binghamton, NY. Two years later he went with Agway, a farm cooperative, as a controller. He worked for Agway 24 years and retired at 61.

Dick also pursued a Master's degree at Syracuse University while working and being a devoted husband and father. In addition he was involved with his church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, as a member of the committee to erect the new sanctuary as well as serving as President of the council.

Once Dick retired, he worked part time for H&R Block and then as Treasurer of Cornerstone Baptist.
