Michael Barry Smith

Michael Barry Smith of Orlando, FL passed away on Apr 26th, 2022, at the age of 63. He was born on Oct 5th, 1958, in Portland, ME and then grew up in the small town of Goffstown, NH. Michael loved playing baseball and basketball as a child. His passion for music was evident when he played the piano. He also loved his scholastics …. A born student of life. His sense of humor was a humor that caught you by surprise. He was a gentleman and abundantly loved by his friends and family.

He graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1980 and then on to St. Louis University where he obtained his Master in Hospital Administration.

He is preceded in death by His Father: Barry James Smith.

He is survived by His Loving Wife: Jun Zhao, His Daughters: Kathryn Leshan Smith, Alyssa Meishan Smith and Sishuang (Cathy) Zhao. His Mother: Jeannine L. Smith, His Brothers: Peter Francis Smith, John Kenneth Smith, Paul Gregory Smith, Jeffery Adam Smith, His Sisters: Mary Elizabeth Campbell, Patricia Helen Kaffenberger and Amy Catherine Ward.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service at his brother’s home located at 701 W. County Rd. 419, Chuluota, FL 32766 on May 7th, 2022, at 2pm-6:00pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 2pm followed by a dedication ceremony at 3pm.

Michael was a family man, and he loved his family so much. He has been a thoughtful son, loving husband, and a good father through the years, and we all love him too.

Michael had the passion to travel, explore the different countries with open heart for different cultures.

Michael loved many different music/bands. But ELO still is his favorite after so many years as that normally has been the default music when you ever get on his car.

The world is different without Michael Barry Smith. We wish him peace in the better place. We will miss him until we meet again.
