

Mary Hayden is survived by; her two son’s Paul Hayden and Allan Hayden; and her daughter, Lillie Gelfand. She was grandmother to Christal Hayden, Colleen McCarthy, Elizabeth Powell, and Stephen Hayden and was great-grandmother to Brittany Harris, Sara Concannon (deceased), Christopher Hayden, Kimberly Hayden, Hunter Hayden, and Maya Powell. Mary is also survived by her nephews, Otto Krucker and Urs Krucker Velasquez.; nieces, Lisa Krucker, Lisette Krucker Velasquez, Kelly Krucker and Heidi Krucker; and her great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Richard Hayden (June 17, 2020) and brothers, Herbert Krucker, Urs Krucker and Hans Krucker.
Mary was born on October 19, 1932 in Zurich, Switzerland to parents Max Krucker and Henrietta von Escher (both deceased). Mary lived in Switzerland until age 5, then moved to Argentina with her family. Mary spent her childhood in Misiones and later moved to Buenos Aires where she met Arnold. Mary and Arnold married on March 3, 1956 and soon after moved to the United States and settled in New York. In 1960 they moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area where they raised their family. Mary spent her career here working with her brother, Hans, in their camera repair shop for the next thirty years. In 2018, Mary and Arnold relocated to Orlando to be closer to their daughter and granddaughter.
Mary was a strong and industrious woman. She worked hard and was dedicated to the care of her husband, Arnold, as his eyesight failed. Mary loved reading and was a lifelong learner. She shared the most interesting stories about her early life in Argentina and was always interested to hear the stories of others. Mary enjoyed music and dancing. She and Arnold spent many evenings dancing the Tango and Waltz. Mary had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her kindness and love will be remembered fondly. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
