She graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1960.
Marilyn worked as an Elementary School teacher in Walden, NY.
She was actively involved in Hospice and was a retired volunteer at the Visitor’s Information Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith, daughter, Melanie Smith Neucall, sister, Ann- Marie Merrifield and son-in-law, John Kurta.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Dee Jaye Kurta, son, Jeffery Smith (Cindy), grandchildren, Todd Kurta, Jade Kurta (Anthony), Benjamin Smith, and Shoshana Smith as well as her great grandson, Blake Venditti.
