Marilyn Louise Foote Masi passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord of July 18, 2024, with family and close friends beside her. She was 80 years old.
Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, on September 1, 1943, to Dr. Harvey and Beatrice Metcalf Foote, Marilyn was a graduate of Brattleboro High School then attended the University of New England, graduating with a degree in Business.
Marilyn lived in various cities during her lifetime and career, including Hartford, Connecticut; Morris Plains, New Jersey; Chicago, Illinois; and Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, finally retiring in Orlando, Florida in 2004. She was an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church of Orlando and among several other civic duties, served as a Cub Scout Leader in Morris Plains, New Jersey and Stephens Minister for St. Lukes of Orlando, counseling grieving church members. Her career was varied and led her into the fields of Computer Training and Personnel Administration. She later co-founded an Executive Search firm, The Masi Group, with husband Frank, specializing in computer and office products to Marketing and Administrative personnel.
Marilyn's gentle nature, easy laughter, and practical approach to life's twists and curves won over all who met her, whether next door neighbors, clients, or new family members. Generous with a loving touch, she lent her unique talents to civic and association organizations wherever she resided.
Born into the Foote family, who emigrated from England in 1692 and settled into Connecticut, Marilyn became a devotee of genealogy, maintaining family historic records going back to the Foote migration from England and served a term as President of the Foote Family Association of America.
Marilyn leaves behind her loving husband Frank; a devoted family of two sons, Robert John Masi and Kennth Hobart (wife Abby) grandchild Corinna; adoring step children, Anthony Masi and Jason Ortiz; Erik Masi (wife Mary) grandchildren Reese, Faith, and Sage Masi; Frank Christian Masi, grandchildren Michael and Beth Masi; Glenn Paul Masi, grandchildren Paul and Julia Masi; step-daughter Linda Marie Eselunas (husband Donald) grandchildren Rebecca and Jeremy Eselunas; Godchildren Erin Masi Prete (husband Marco) children Paten and Cole Prete; Jean Argila Merenda, brother Todd (wife Lynn) nephews Adam Foote (wife Brittany), and Stephen Foote (betrothed Elle); sister Sally Andrade (husband Charlie) nephews Joseph (wife Maria) and Chuck Andrade (wife Amy).
