Marguerite Jahns

Born on March 9, 1942, in New York to Juliette and Roland Cote, Marguerite grew up to become a woman of quiet strength, deep devotion, and enduring love. She shared nearly sixty years of marriage with her husband, Waldemar Jahns—a partnership marked by steadfast companionship and love. In her final years, while living in memory care and he in assisted living at the same facility, Waldemar joined her every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a daily testament to a love that never faded. They were best friends.

Her Catholic faith was a central and guiding force throughout her life. In retirement, Marguerite found particular joy in volunteering at a state-run retirement home, where she spent time making rosaries with the residents. This ministry of prayer and presence continued until she was no longer able to drive, yet the spirit of that service remained part of who she was.

Marguerite is survived by her beloved husband, Waldemar Jahns; her daughter, Erika Jahns-Henrich (Adam Henrich); her grandsons, Jordon Jahns-Budke and Justin Budke (Kayla Budke).

A woman of faith, loyalty, and gentle generosity, Marguerite leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to be felt by all who knew her.
