Jimmie is survived by his sons, Steve M. Walker (Debbie) of Orlando, FL and Craig L. Walker (Kim) of Panama City, FL and his grandsons, David Walker, Michael Walker, and Mark Walker, and his sister, Peggy Bishop of Aiken, SC.

Jimmie was born on April 28, 1934. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He married Joyce on February 9, 1956 and had their first son, Steve, at the end of 1956. After their second son, Craig, was born in 1958, they moved from Alabama to Florida. Jimmie worked at Kennedy Space Center and moved the family to Titusville, FL and worked there for 30 years.

After retiring, Jimmie and Joyce volunteered for Habitat for Humanity where he also served as President. Jimmie designed and built their log home, enjoyed being outdoors, raising chickens, and working in the garden. They were very involved in their church, First Christian Church, which was right next door and were active and beloved members.

Services to be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church of Titusville.
