Jason Edward Alicea of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the age of 38 years young. He was the older son of Eugenia and predeceased Jose Alicea, born in New York City on August 17, 1983. In 1992, at the age of 8, he, his brother, Cory, and family moved to Florida.
He graduated from Winter Park High School in 2002. He then attended Jacksonville University in the Political Science curriculum for three years and played college soccer on their team.
Among the various jobs Jason had, he worked for 13 years at The Red Cross and became their warehouse Supervisor.
Aside from his total commitment and dedication to his daughter Isabella or “B” as he affectionately called her, Jason had many hobbies and dreams, including his passion to become a professional soccer player. In his own words, he esteemed himself as a loving and dedicated father, son, brother, a writer, song and music composer, rapper, video gamer, and a ride-share driver.
He is survived by his daughter, B, her mom Kara, and her son Xander, his mother, Eugenia; his siblings, David and Cory, nephew, and niece Kymani and Kyana, loving aunts, and uncles, several cousins, and many long-time childhood friends.
The family thanks the staff of Advent Health South Hospital and Advent Health Care Center Apopka South for the care and compassion they showed Jason throughout his hospitalization and rehabilitation journey.
