Gary Varner, a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, passed away on December 30, 2025, surrounded by the family he cherished. His life was marked by kindness, warmth, and a deep commitment to the people he loved.
Gary built a long and respected career as a General Manager with Charles B. Flynn & Company, where his reliability, patience, and calm leadership made a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike. He approached his work the same way he approached life — with integrity, humility, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
A true sports enthusiast, Gary found joy in cheering on his favorite teams and following the fast-paced world of Formula 1. But nothing brought him more happiness than watching his grandchildren play the sports they loved. Whether sitting in the stands or celebrating their accomplishments, he was their biggest fan, always proud and always present.
At the center of Gary’s world was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Patricia Varner, his adored daughter, Kimberli Rogers, and his treasured grandchildren — Marcus Baker, Malek Baker, Ariana Rogers, Noah Rogers, and Liam Rogers. Each of them brought him immense pride, and he poured his heart into being a steady, loving presence in their lives.
In his final days, Gary accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, bringing him peace and comfort as he prepared to go home. His family takes solace in knowing he is now at rest, held in the grace and love of his Savior.
Gary will be remembered for his gentle humor, his unwavering loyalty, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave freely, and the memories held close by all who knew him.
His family invites friends, loved ones, and all whose lives he touched to join in a Celebration of Life honoring his memory, his legacy, and the joy he brought into the world.
It will be held at University Baptist Church, Union Park (10301 E. Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL 32817) on Saturday January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a reception following the service.
Together, we will share stories, offer prayers, and reflect on the many ways Gary’s kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit enriched the lives of those around him. Your presence is a meaningful way to honor his life and support the family during this time.
In honor of Gary, guests are invited to wear white or come in their favorite Hawaiian attire.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Seminole County Animal Services.
