

David Eric Hagman, 60, of Orlando, Florida, passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 3, 2026. Born on December 1, 1965 in Arlington, Massachusetts, he was the cherished son of Donald and Lynda Hagman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
David lived a full and rich life, one rooted in family, friends and pure love. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia always making many friends. He was an amazing drummer throughout his school years. Although music was his first love, he found that he really enjoyed working with his hands and building things, in which he made a career of. His last position was working at Orlando Utilities Commission in which he said that he finally found his work home.
On June 16, 1990, David married the love of his life, Cheryl. Together they shared 36 wonderful years filled with love, laughter and adventure. They married in Ohio but found Florida to be where they could enjoy their lives together more.
A devoted father, David is survived by his loving children, Kristie and Lynea, and later son in law Ray. He was a proud and doting grandfather to Nikita and Loreli. He is also survived by his brother Joel, nieces, uncles, aunts and many cousins.
David’s impact was felt far beyond his immediate family. His warmth, generosity, kind heart and sense of humor touched everyone he met. His devotion to Cheryl, his children and his grandchildren was unparalleled and they were the center of this world.
David’s legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The Celebration of David's life will be held at Hard Rock Café in Universal’s City Walk Orlando on Saturday, October 10th at 11 am. A location that he has shared many laughs and good times with so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Save the Music Foundation. One of David's legacies is being apart of choosing the mascot for BRHS, helping develop their chops as a marching band, and becoming the school's first pirate mascot years before they gained their permanent one. By donating to a charity that helps school music programs, you are honoring David's legacy.
