Clyde “Spike” Bell Jr. of Winter Springs, FL passed away on Wednesday, 05/28/2025 at the age of 73. He was born on October 2, 1951 in Stratton, Nebraska where he grew up as the youngest boy of the family who enjoyed causing trouble in and around the town of Culbertson, Nebraska.
During his early years, he was active in sports, playing both football and basketball throughout high school. After graduation, Clyde joined the military. He proudly served in the United States Army where he fought in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. Clyde served his country for 23 years, from February of 1971 until he retired in August of 1994 at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3.
Clyde was actively involved in the church and demonstrated an admirable dedication of service to others. In his spare time, Clyde enjoyed playing golf, working on his forever expanding “honey-do” list, and most importantly spending time with his wife, children, and grandkids. He was incredibly proud to be a father and grandfather. Clyde was always quick with a joke, had a knack for being inappropriately sarcastic, and was deeply caring toward everyone whose life he touched.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Sun Bell, his children, Angela Wilson, Katherine Sessums, Clyde Bell III and his wife Krista Bell, grandchildren, Madeline Wilson, Clyde Bell IV, Lucas Bell, Brian Sessums, Blake Sessums, and Kolbie Sessums, as well as countless other friends and family who loved him dearly.
