

Caroline (Papp) Dawson, 83, of Winter Springs, Florida entered into eternal rest peacefully after a short battle with pancreatic cancer on Friday, April 26, 2024 under the loving care of her eldest daughter Maria.
Caroline was born to John and Frances (Suslavage) Papp on February 28, 1941 in the Bronx, New York. She was raised the eldest of four children. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Janice (Ray) Battaglia, her ex-spouse Luis Rodriguez and is survived by her siblings Gerri (Joe) Dalio and John (Ursula) Papp.
Caroline spent many years of her life in New York. She lived with her young family in Connecticut before moving to Central Florida in 1988. There she met her partner John Womack, whom she spent over 30 years with before he passed away in 2020.
She has enjoyed many careers in her lifetime and has enjoyed her retirement keeping busy with multiple groups. She was an active member of the quilting club at her local parish and donated many projects to Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, NewComers Club and loved to play bingo and bunco with the gals. Caroline has spent countless hours over the years creating projects for her family, custom bags, quilts and coasters. It was her great joy to share her gifts and talents for those she loved.
Caroline is predeceased by her beloved son Michael Rodriguez. She is survived by her loving children, Andrew Rodriguez, Maria (the late Joe Mancini) Rodriguez, Cathey (Mike) Jayne, and Linda (Bob) Marcarelli; cherished grandchildren, Kristianna (JJ) Soto, Michael Rodriguez, Diana (Rob) Wenner, Jenna Mancini, Arden Mancini, Lily (Garrett) Treanor, Imre Mancini, Kyle Johnston (Ashley Casselman), Hal Jayne, Wes Marcarelli, Julianna (David) Macari, Marriana Marcarelli (Carmine Verde), Ava Marcarelli, Rose Marcarelli, Olivia Marcarelli, Aria Marcarelli, and Angelo Marcarelli; 9 adored great-grandchildren with one on the way, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood Florida - 3255 N Ronald Reagan Blvd on Saturday, May 11 at 11 am. Reception at the parish to follow immediately after. All are welcome to celebrate the life of Caroline Dawson.

In addition, Caroline will be interned in Michigan with additional memorial services at Christ the King Catholic Church in Ann Arbor Michigan. Service will be a joint memorial for the repose of the soul of Caroline Dawson and Louis Rodriguez on the first anniversary of his death, May 31 at 1:00 pm. Interment immediately following at United Memorial Cemetery Plymouth, Michigan. All are welcome.
