Betty Harris Keesee

Betty Jane Harris Keesee, 87, of Apopka, FL passed away September 27, 2026. Betty was born in Botetourt County, VA. Betty was the daughter of the late Claude A. and Evelyn Harris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William I. Keesee; and her brother, Claude A. Harris, Jr.

She is survived by her brother Dennis Harris; along with her Son, Eric Keesee of Tallahassee, FL; Daughter, Vickie (Don) Baty of Apopka, FL; Daughter, Kim (Brian) Doss of Apopka, FL; 9 Grandchildren, Tara, Stacey, Stephen, Kyle, Kevin, Loren, Tyler, Emily, Code; 17 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Betty grew up in Virginia and her first job was working in a hair salon. She began dating her future husband, Bill, while still in high school.

She believed it was important to go to church and made sure the family went every week. Betty also taught vacation bible school while her own kids were young.

Betty was a homemaker most of her married life, but did do a few things along the way such as: attended nursing school, became a secretary for her husband Bill's company, and also worked putting out coupons and displays in a variety of stores.

Betty was also very active in her involvement with the Christian Women's Club meetings until their closing in 2008.

There will be a service held at Thrive Church in Apopka on Sunday October 18th at 2:00 PM.
