Arlene Jeanette Scott

Our beloved mother, Arlene J. Scott, went to join our Heavenly Father on April 10, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born in Johnson City, New York on July 10, 1933 to Arthur and Ethel (Reynolds) Perry. She graduated from Greene Central School in 1952.

On April 3, 1954, she married her soulmate and love of her life, Robert V. Scott in Greene. She worked as a secretary and filing clerk for their Buffalo Bobcat dealership, and for a prominent accounting firm in Florida. Her passion was growing orchids and other various plants, which she enjoyed sharing with others.

Arlene was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert V. Scott, in August of 2014 after 59 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristie L. Brennand in 1986, her parents, her brother Marvin, and her sister, Barbara.

She is survived by her sons, Randy (Laurie) Scott, Robert (Deborah) Scott, her daughter, Renee Rager, six grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Orlando Health St. Cloud, and Mike Conley Hospice House for their care and compassion in her final days.
