
Arlene Therese (Hoffarth) Pattison of Maitland, Florida passed away on May 19, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born on February 26, 1936 in Chicago Heights, Illinois, the daughter of Michael and Rose (Valha) Hoffarth.
She graduated from Bloom High School located in Chicago Heights in 1953 and went to work in administrative roles at Illinois Bell Telephone Company and Nathan Hale Elementary School.
On October 9, 1954, Arlene was united in marriage to Theodore Merle Pattison. This union was blessed with six children, Stephen, Keith, Kurt, Lori, Lynn, and David. Arlene and Ted shared sixty years together before Ted passed away on December 20, 2014.
Arlene enjoyed many activities, including playing Pinochle and Mahjong, teaching her grandchildren to play Canasta, and golfing with Ted. She especially cherished the time spent with family and friends at Dewey Lake in Michigan during the summers and Ted and Arlene’s retirement years spent at The Plantation in Leesburg, Florida.
Raised in the Catholic tradition, she remained deeply devoted to her faith throughout her life, finding strength and guidance in prayer, compassion, and her trust in God.
Along with her parents, Michael and Rose Hoffarth, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; brother, Raphael Hoffarth; sister, Dolores Fryer; brother-in-law’s, William Fryer, Thomas Novosel, and Keith Burton; and great grandson Michael.
Left to cherish her memory include her sons and daughters, Stephen (Michele) Pattison of Lake Mary, FL, Keith Pattison of San Diego, CA, Kurt Pattison of Tampa, FL, Lori (Michael) Guinane of Cassopolis, MI, Lynn (Jeffrey) Danielson of Monument, CO, and David (Susan) Pattison of Dyer, IN; grandchildren, Mark Pattison, Angela (Matthew) Hammond, Jesse (Victoria) Pattison, Keith (Katherine) Pattison Jr., Michael (Carissa) Pattison, Erik Pattison, Kurt Pattison Jr., Elizabeth Pattison, Michael (Cynthya) Guinane, Patrick (Alexandra) Guinane, Meghan Guinane, Matthew (Diane) Danielson, Eryn (John) Bunnell, Samuel Pattison, Benjamin Pattison, Maxwell Pattison; great grandchildren, Madison, Maxwell, Maverick, Nolan, Olivia, Martin, Reagan, and James; sisters, Hyacinth Burton and Mary (Robert) Poslusny; brother Michael Hoffarth; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at VITAS Healthcare for the care and compassion they showed our beloved mother in her final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Mass in her honor at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at 2:00 pm at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
