Allen Edward Jones Jr.

Allen Edward Jones Jr., of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born on February 1, 1949, in Trenton, Michigan, and grew up in Romulus, Michigan. He graduated from Romulus High School in 1967.

Allen worked as Owner/Sales Manager of a Data Processing and Distribution firm, building a life marked by steady dedication and responsibility. In retirement, he moved to Indian Lake Estates, Florida, where he pursued a second career as a Real Estate Broker, continuing to bring purpose and professionalism to each new season of life.

He was actively involved in boating, camping, and enjoying life—finding simple, lasting satisfaction in time outdoors and the moments shared along the way.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, Allen E. Jones Sr., his mother, Thelma M. Jones, and his brother, William Jones (survive by his wife Catherine).

He is survived by his wife of 38.5 years, Ann Marie Jones; sons Gregory Jones (Virginia) Texas, Brian Jones (Angela) Georgia, and Michael Jones (Karen) Tennessee; sisters Susan Merschat (Kurt, deceased) Alabama and Debbie Munroe (Allen) Michigan; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the Nurses and CNAs of Compassionate Care Hospice for the care and compassion they showed their loved one in his final days.

Interment will be held at a later date at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, Michigan.
