Alice Marie McCarrick-Hammond

Born on September 5, 1930, in Pontiac, Michigan, Alice lived a long and meaningful life filled with love for her family, deep friendships, and a true spirit of adventure. She retired from Ford Motor Company’s Utica Trim Plant in 1992, but her greatest joy was always the life she built with those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit touched many lives, and she leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will be held close forever.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Gerald McCarrick; her husband, Kenneth Hammond; her daughter, Karen McCarrick; five brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Janet DiPonio (Nick); her children, Stephen McCarrick (the late Juanita), Annette Olive (Ken), Laura Sefton (the late John), and Russell McCarrick (Denise); eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who brought her so much pride and joy.

Alice found happiness in life’s simple pleasures traveling, ballroom dancing, and clogging. She deeply valued the friendships she formed through the Spring Hill Model A Car Club.

She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Gerald, at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in Michigan in August, with details to be shared with family and friends.
