

Adriana Grajales of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2024, at the age of 60.
She was born on February 9, 1964, in Itagüí, Colombia. At 17 years old, she moved to Paterson, New Jersey, with her mom, dad, brother, and four sisters. She left behind her home country, friends, and schoolmates to begin a new life in Paterson, New Jersey. She obtained her GED from Kennedy High School in Paterson.
Adriana realized early on that life in the United States wasn’t easy for an immigrant, so she began working at a young age. She worked at Wellington Home Products for several years and dedicated 30 years to Marcal Paper Mills. She was known for her dedication and hard work.
A very loving and caring individual, Adriana would go out of her way to help others. She was deeply spiritual and a devoted Catholic, actively involved in a prayer group at St. John’s Cathedral in Paterson, New Jersey. Her generosity, kindness, and willingness to assist those in need were well-known. Adriana enjoyed camping and outings at the beach, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alonso Grajales. Adriana's memory will be cherished by her mother, Sonia Correa de Grajales, her only son, Jonathan Vivas, her granddaughter Sophia, grandson Valentino, daughter-in-law Veronica; and her siblings Sonia Grajales, Mary Tobon, Sol Vargas, Giovanni Grajales, and Paula Munoz. She also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Joseph's. Adriana will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and her generous spirit.
