What an honor to share a memory in honor of Helen, and how appropriate the timing, as Saint David's has been actively serving families this week who are getting back on their feet, through the HomeAgainLA ministry, which Helen was a big part of for a number of years. Helen's presence and model of gracious servanthood will always be felt as we continue in this ministry.  She understood very deeply, that not only is it important to support the families in tangible, physical areas of need, but that it is also a vital part of ministry to lift their spirits, which she did most graciously, through providing creative, encouraging extras and creating a cheerful atmosphere at all times. Her beautiful spirit reflects The Lord's heart and spirit and will always be a blessing.

I recently shared with Wanda that I cherish my memory of Sweet Helen, always elegantly dressed for church, with a warm, soft smile. I miss seeing her, but know she is with God, her Heavenly Father.

I shall so miss you. I will miss the laughs we shared. I will remember one in particular that took place at the old St, Davids. Helen had asked did you? Before she finished the question I yelled no and she fell on the floor laughing so hard people thought she was crying in pain.
She was  a clever woman who took life in stride and  just handled her business.
