He is deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Carmen Greaves; his son Greg Greaves (wife Rosemary); and stepchildren John Hamer (wife Judy), Carol Vaughn and Fred Layton (wife Karen) along with 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Wilf was born in Entwistle, Alberta, Canada and grew up in Edmonton. He was the Light Middleweight Gold Medalist at the 1954 British Empire Games, Canada Middleweight Champion in 1958, and the British Commonwealth Middleweight Champion in 1960. After his boxing days, he was a Rigger Local 575 in Michigan before retiring to Florida where he most recently lived in Sabal Springs. In retirement he enjoyed playing pool, poker and riding his bike through the neighborhood where he was affectionately known as “Rocky.”
