He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of the University of Toledo. He shared 60 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife Evelyn. Together they moved to Flint, Michigan, before settling in Fort Myers in 1964.
Tom had a fulfilling career as an art teacher at Dunbar Middle School, where he inspired students for 30 years. He also owned a body shop and pursued his love for creativity through painting, carpentry, and metalworking. Tom’s mornings began with bike rides, and he cherished time spent working on his corvette. He enjoyed golfing with his good friend Austin Baggett and treasured lifelong friendships with Harvey and Rene Youngquist.
Tom is survived by his daughters Brenda Wilson and Lorrie Fair (husband Bruce), daughter-in-law Christina Laney, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn and son Bruce.
