Sharon Sue Nichols

Sharon was born on June 6, 1946 in Benton, KY to the late John W. Nichols and Mildred (Malone) Nichols. Sharon worked for Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL as an EKG technician for 23 years and last worked at OSF Neurology in Peoria, IL as an MOA. She retired and moved to Fort Myers, FL 13 years ago.

Beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, Sharon leaves behind her husband, Dick Granger of Fort Myers, FL; three daughters, Sherrie (Byerly) Turner husband Dan of Conway, AR, Stephanie (Byerly) Myers husband Tommy of North Pekin, IL, Heather (Byerly) Fleming husband Will of Washburn, IL; son, Dane Byerly of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Tiffany and Zack Stern of Millstadt, IL, Devin and Kayla Parrish, Coleman and Stephanie Parrish of Swansea, IL, Isaiah Byerly, Herbert “MJ” Miller of Pekin, IL, Casi and Daniel Hoover of Pekin, IL, Sierra and Kyle Breneman of Beaufort, SC, Samantha Fleming of Paducah, KY, Nick and Sydney Fleming of Peoria, IL, Dustin Allard of Quincy, IL; three step children, Christopher and Veronica Granger, James and Melissa Granger, Doug and Christine Granger; five step grandchildren; sister, Carlette Howell; brothers, James Nichols wife Holly and David Nichols wife Linda; 23 great grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on May 3, 2025 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church located at 1950 Big Bear HWY, Benton, KY 42025. Another celebration of life will be held at Champs West in Peoria, IL on May 17, 2025.
