Robert “Bob” A. Follmann, 79, of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on July 31st, 2025. He was born September 30th, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Harold and Erminia Follmann.
He was involved with the Construction board in Key West and Fort Myers, and a member of SCCA Car Club, Ecurie Vitesse Sport Club in Key West, and Gulf Coast Auto crossers Ltd in Fort Myers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Erminia Follmann; his father, Harold Follmann; his brother, Ronald Follmann; and his stepson, John Sylvia.
Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Odette Follmann; his daughter, Christina Chavira; grandchildren, Alexis Sylvia, Jesse Chavira, and Lilia Chavira; brothers, Kenneth Follman, and David Follmann; and the rest of his extended family and all the friends that Robert “Bob” Follmann had throughout his life that he met during his time as a general contractor and an autocross racer.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be on Sunday, August 10th, 2025 from 1pm until 4pm at National Cremation & Burial Society, 3453 Hancock Bridge Pkwy, North Fort Myers, FL 33903. In lieu of flowers, please provide a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
