Melinda Lou Metz

Melinda Lou Metz, 85, passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 16th, 2023. She was born in Howard County, Indiana on April 4th 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sherwood Foland of Indiana and Zola Lee Foland of Indiana... along with many siblings.

Moving to Florida in 1981, where she worked as a building supervisor for the Lee County School District, most notably Fort Myers High School and North Fort Myers Academy of the Arts, until she retired in 2000.

She had three children, Richard L Metz of Cape Coral FL, Karen J Terhune of Wyoming, and Rita R Shaw of Cape Coral FL (deceased). Four grandchildren, Ryan Meadows, Shelby Pearson, Jeremy Terhune, and Heather Metz. Four great grandchildren, Ryan Meadows Jr., Leeann Meadows, and Hailey Pearson and Teygan Terhune.

Melinda did not wish to have a service or memorial, but we ask that you hold her in your hearts and continue to share her kindness with the world. If you have any memories with her, please feel free to share them, we know she had a full life of stories to tell and we always love to hear them.
