John Mark Henderson was born October 15, 1950, in Sikeston, Missouri. He was the son of George Riley and Eva Henderson. He departed this life in Fort Myers, Florida on December 13, 2024. He was 74 years old.
Mark was united in marriage to Judy Ann Glass on February 12, 1971 in Hayti, Missouri.
As a Salesman, Mark never met a stranger. With his humor, compassion and excitement for life, anyone that he ever came in contact with, became a friend.
He left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Mark was always ready for another adventure. He loved to travel and see all the beautiful sites in this country. He loved History and could tell you anything you would ever want to know about the Civil
War, its Battlefields, America’s History, State Capitols, etc. He loved to visit those places.
Most importantly, Family was the heart of Mark’s world. He dearly loved spending time at Family Gatherings, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family and closest friends.
Mark is survived by his Wife, Judy, his Daughter Christy (Chris) Buonomo of Ocoee, Florida; Brother Mike (Janice) Henderson of Alta Loma, California; Sister Nancy Nettleton of Hayti, Missouri; Little Brother David (D’Ann) Henderson of Sarasota, Florida; Brother and Sister (Not by blood, but considered Family) Kenneth and Marty Kirkpatrick of Smyrna, Tennessee; one Cherished Granddaughter, Chloe Buonomo, Ocoee, Florida, and numerous Beloved Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Mark did not wish to have a service.
Instead he simply wished to be remembered at Family Gatherings.
As an organ donor, Mark’s corneas will give sight to someone. What a wonderful gift, especially if they can see the joy and excitement in life, as Mark did.
