Joan Anne Reichenbach

It is with great sadness that the family members of Joan Anne Reichenbach announce her passing. Joan passed peacefully at home on October 8, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born March 10, 1934 in the Bronx, NY to John F. Ryan and Florence Quinn Ryan, where she grew up and married the love of her life, Richard Reichenbach in 1957.

She worked at Northside Savings Bank until she started her family in 1960. Joan moved to Yonkers, NY in 1963, and in 1989 move to Cape Coral, FL.

Joan leaves behind her sons, Mark Reichenbach, Richard Reichenbach (Julie), and Douglas Reichenbach (Sandi); and her grandchildren, Ariel Reichenbach Woodward (Derek) and Sadie Reichenbach – whom she always called “her baby”.

She became widowed in 2013 after 56 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her son, Paul Reichenbach; her brothers, William Ryan and John Ryan; and sister, Judith Burke.

Joan was also a Mom to Pattie Ryan, Peggy Ejchorszt (Ryan), Billy Ryan, Johnny Ryan, David Ryan, and Jimmy Ryan. She was the beloved grandmother, sister-in-law, and aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She kept her faith until the end and was a parishioner at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral. She loved all of her family and long-time friends. Joan had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed her family and friends. Her kindness and love were unwavering, always taking care of her family to the end. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her, especially her Boys.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
