Obituary of Charlotte Marie Luther
Charlotte Marie Luther passed away peacefully March 15, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Charlotte was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. There, she attended local schools and graduated in 1953. She went on to become a valuable employee with the Union steamfitters and asbestos workers business offices. Later in her career, she accepted a position with the bricklayers union office, from which she retired. Charlotte's sense of adventure brought her to many place abroad and across the country. Her love for life enabled her to enjoy many activities with family and friends. She was an avid skier, tennis player, bicyclist, kayaker, enjoyed assembling a good jigsaw puzzle, and loved camping. She would also spend her time gardening while enjoying the medley sounds of songbirds. Charlotte met her husband, Burton Luter, while camping in 2010 with the LOWS Club (Loners on Wheels). They went on to be married August 26, 2011 in Yosemite National Park at Glacier Point Elevation 8,500 feet - this being a high point in Charlotte and Burt's life together. Charlotte was predeceased by 6 brothers, Harold, Floyd, Leslie, Sam, James, and Bob; 1 sister, Clara; young granddaughter, Talia - who's life was cut much too short; and son-in-law, Burton Jr. She is survived by her husband, Burton Luther; her sons, David Buskey and his love, Tammy Francis, and Bruce Buskey and his wife, Dawn; her grandchildren, Joshua, Marina, and Eden; Burton's children, Brian, Anna, and Kristen; Burton's grandchildren, Christopher, Marcus, Jacob, Maile, and Noah; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends in New York and Florida. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Lee Memorial Hospital and Hope Hospice for their caring support. Services will be announced and held at the convenience of the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.nationalcremation.com/locations/north-fort-myers for the Luther family.
