Roy was married to Jacqueline A. Miller for just shy of 43 years. He cherished their relationship and was a wonderful friend to people of all ages. Roy had a warm and inviting personality that endeared him to those around him. He had a passion for cruising and enjoyed visiting Saugatuck, MI. Roy's kind and caring nature touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.
Roy had a strong educational background. He attended Lane Tech High School and later pursued higher education at Columbia University in Chicago.
In addition to his personal and family relationships, Roy is survived by his wife, Jacqueline A. Miller, and his cousin, Gary Miller, who resides in NC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Virginia Miller and his father, Roy E. Miller, Sr.
Roy served his country with honor and dedication as a member of the National Guard. His commitment to the military was admirable, and he was proud to have served his country.
Professionally, Roy had a long and successful career with the Park Ridge News Co. He started as a paper boy and worked his way up to become the Circulation Manager. Unfortunately, his career was cut short when he became disabled in 1985.
Outside of his professional life, Roy had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved to travel and spend time with friends, both over the phone and in person. Roy also enjoyed reading the newspaper and staying up-to-date with current events.
Roy Edward Miller, Jr. will be remembered for his kind-hearted nature, his dedication to his loved ones, and his contributions to his community. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his memory will live on in their hearts forever.
