John P. Mergen, age 82, of Chicago, IL passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025.
John was the cherished partner and husband of Nancy, nee Klepitsch for 51 years; loving father of Nicholas; “Gramps”, “Grandpa”, and "wOpa" of Kylee, Torin, Joseph, and Franky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elfriede and John Mergen. He will be missed by his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
John will be remembered most for his strength, commitment to family, quick wit, and his love of old CARS!
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
