Gary Richard Eggerichs

Gary was born November 21, 1937, in Mitchell, SD, the son of Ruth Elizabeth, nee Denbow and Anstett Anthony Eggerichs. Gary married Joan Kay Reinhart on June 14, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; their three children: Carrie (Edward) LaHood of Chicago, IL, Joel Eggerichs of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Calle (Benjamin) Hutchen, of Winnetka, IL; cherished grandchildren: Nicolette, Reese, Jacob, Gunner and Wyatt; sister, Janet Gaa of Lancaster, CA; brother, Robert (Judy) of Hilliard, OH; sisters-in-law, Patsy Eggerichs of Dallas, TX, and Joy Reinhart of Lakewood, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Eggerichs; and brother-in-law, Jerry Gaa.

Gary’s professional career was spent in the construction and mining industry.

For Gary, care of family, loyalty of friendship, integrity and a strong work ethic inspired him throughout his career and life.

The Eggerichs family would like to express their gratitude to all his wonderful doctors and team of nurses for their tremendous care and compassion.

National Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Life service will be arranged at a later date.
