Evelyn "Evie" M Richer

Evelyn “Evie” Margaret Ransdell Richer passed away January 3, 2023. She was born July 14, 1932 to Margaret Alice, nee Reed and Hollie Davis Ransdell. Evie grew up living with her mother and her grandmother, “Nani” in Evanston, Illinois. She graduated from Evanston Township High School and from Northwestern University with a BS in Education. Evie was a teacher. Evie enjoyed travel, the theater, the Chicago Art Institute, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony, the women’s club, and the garden club. She especially loved animals, playing bridge, dining out and socializing with her many friends, her sorority sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha, and being with her Murray cousins. Her friends will miss her! Evie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Richer and her two dogs, Sugar and Coco.
